Below is a list of frequently asked questions about the 5k in-person event.

What are the race date, start time, & and location?

Can I make a donation to Canine Companions to help place and train service dogs with those in need?

YES, click the donate button at the top of this page


What is the race course map?

The updated course map will be available soon!


Where can I pick up the Bib & T-shirt (prior to race days & on race day) ?

2 pre-race packet pick-up options are available:

1.  Date coming:  Lucky Road Run Shop in the Willow Lawn Shopping center. 

2.  Date coming: Main Line Brewery 4 pm-7 pm

3.  Race Day Packet pick-up will be located at Main Line Brewery - a table AWAY from the walk-up registration.  FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR PRE-REGISTERED PACKET PICK UP. 


Can another person pick up my bib for me?

Yes, please have a copy of their ID


Where can I see the results of the race ?

Timing provided by Richmond Road Runner Club - Details coming soon.


For visually impaired or physically disabled athletes participating in the race, do their guides need to contact the race director before the day of the race?

No, unless you feel accommodations are needed, then please contact the race director at contact@giveadogajob5k.com


Are strollers (jog strollers, walking strollers, etc.) allowed for race participants?

Yes, you will be asked to start at the back of the starting corral

Is my fur baby/pet allowed to run/walk/roll with me?

YES!!!!!  all dogs must be up to date on vacations and be on a NON-retractable leash!  Dogs/pets/service animals are welcome and are expected to be well-behaved.

DOODY DROP STATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED ALONG THE COURSE AND AT THE VENUE! THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT CLEANING UP AFTER YOUR DOG!


Do you offer discounted registration for groups?

Yes, please choose the team option during registration.

Can I create a team fundraiser?

YES, please choose the fundraiser team option during registration


Can I pick race packets for a group?

Yes.

Things to know:
Assumption: All group members have already registered AND paid.

All individuals in the group must already be pre-registered, and therefore pre-paid, for the race.
A leader can pick up the packets during a packet pick up event.
Be sure you also know everyone's t-shirt sizes!

Can I transfer my bib to another person?

NO, you can however transfer your individual registration to 2024 event.  Contact the race director. 

 

Who can participate in the free Doggie Dash?

any child between 4-8 years old-  ONE adult per child - one dog per child - ON LINE REGISTRATION IS PREFERRED! Walk up registration will be available between 8am-8:30am 


Where can I park, and when is parking available?

Parking will be available starting at 7am.  Parking will be available on the grass area in front of the brewery.  Additional/overflow parking will also be allowed on the surrounding streets.


Is there a shuttle service available?

NO


When does the online registration close? 

Online registration will close at Midnight Friday, September 30th.  In-person day of registration will be allowed between 7:30 am-8:30 am ONLY!


Are there bathrooms along the race course?

NO, there are bathrooms inside the brewery that will be available prior to and after the 5k


Can I have a paper registration form mailed to me?

NO,If you are unable to register via run signup or the QR code that will be available the day of the event, we can call you to take info over the phone.  Email the race director at contact@giveadogajob5k.com


Is the race held rain or shine?

YES! We run, walk, roll in the rain!


I am registered, but cannot participate in the race. Can I still get my race t-shirt?

YES, you must come to one of the pre-pace packet pick-up locations.  If you are out of state you will be charged shipping to mail all swag.  Contact race director at contact@giveadogajob5k.com


I do not plan to participate in the race. Can I buy a race t-shirt?

YES, official shirts will be available for purchase at all packet pick-up dates as well as on race day.  You may also email contact@giveadogajob5k.com to order.  Cost is $25 


I would like to change the size of the t-shirt I selected during online registration. Can I do that prior to race check-in?

No, this cannot be done prior to race check in.  However, you can change your t-shirt size at one of our packet pick up events.


Is there a virtual race option for 2023 ?

YES 


Are there registration refunds?

NO, this is a charity event to help GIVE A DOG A JOB!


Is there a place to save personal belongings at either the race start?

NO

Is there a finish-line snack offered?

YES, Suger Shack Donuts has generously donated several dozen donuts!  Water bottles/stations will also be available.

Is there a finish-line prize?

YES, each participant will receive a custom commemorative wood medal while supplies last!

Is there a finish-line prize for Doggie Dash?

YES
