Before the Event
-If you have COVID related symptoms please stay home. Symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, the new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
-We recommend high-risk individuals and individuals traveling from high infection areas to consider not attending our event.
-If you are feeling unwell prior to the event or are immune-compromised, please notify us and we will transfer your registration fee to the 2023 Give A Dog A Job 5k. Please email the race director at contact@giveadogajob5k.com
Packet Pick-Up
-Option #1:PREFERED Pick up your bib and swag bag at Lucky Road Run Shop (Willow Lawn) on TBD 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. If you are not fully vaccinated you must wear a mask while picking up your items.
-Option #2: pick up bib/swag at Main Line Brewery on TBD between 4pm and 7pm
-Option #3: Race Day packet pick-up. You must pick up your bib and swag bag between 8am and 8:30 am. See below for all race day check in procedures.
Race Day Check In
If you have already picked up your race packet you will not need to do anything further the morning of the event.
Picking up your packet the day of the event will available between 8-8:30 am only.
Walk up registrations will be allowed but only between 8:40 am -8:55 am
You may also sign up for the event at the Lucky Road Run Shop packet pick day. 9-15-21 10am-4pm
Rolling Start
- The rolling start will help from congregating at the start line and avoid overcrowding the route. We have chip timing so when you cross the start mat your race will officially begin, and it will end when you cross the finish mat. More details will be available closer to the event.
Start Line
-It is highly encouraged that all participants wear masks at the start line until they cross the start mat. Once they cross the start mat, they may take their mask off.
On Course
-When passing another racer, please announce your presence and intent to pass. It is the responsibility of the runner being passed to step to the right hand side to allow space for the overcoming racer to advance. Try your best to socially distance on the course.
- a two member bike EMS team will be on hand to assist with any emergency that may occur on the event course/route
This is an open course and all participants will run/walk/roll at their own risk. Volunteers will be placed along the course to guide participants as needed.
Vendor Experience
- vendors will wear masks unless fully vaccinated
- vendors will provide hand sanitizer and/or disinfecting wipes at each table.
-vendors will make every effort to have contactless payment options available if possible.
Finish Line
-Upon completion of the race, participants will walk by several tables to pick up their finisher koozie, donut from Sugar Shack, and swag.
-All volunteers at the finish line will wear masks unless fully vaccinated.
-there will be an awards ceremony and post-race party unless local regulations do not permit it.
Spectators
-We ask that all spectators follow all current covid guidelines per State and CDC recommendations.
